1. Program Overview:

An advanced training and applied program extending over 3 months (80 hours of approved study load), aimed at developing and enhancing higher mental and cognitive abilities through integrating critical and analytical thinking tools with innovative creative-thinking strategies. The program covers the neural and cognitive foundations of thinking processes, information-processing models, the psychology of critical thinking and logical argumentation, diagnosis of cognitive biases and thinking fallacies, divergent thinking and cognitive originality, creative problem-solving, metacognitive thinking skills (Metacognition), the psychology of decision-making and strategic decision-making under pressure, integration of thinking skills into education and scientific research, through to applying and standardizing thinking measures and evaluating creative projects.


2. Key Objectives:

  •         Understanding the neural and cognitive foundations: comprehending the brain mechanisms and theoretical models that explain thinking processes and information processing.

  •         Mastering critical thinking and deconstructing fallacies: using the rules of logic and argumentation, diagnosing common thinking errors and cognitive biases, and correcting them.

  •          Developing creative thinking and problem-solving: applying divergent-thinking techniques, brainstorming models, and strategies for generating original and innovative solutions to complex problems.

  •         Activating metacognitive thinking (Metacognition): enhancing awareness of self-regulation and improving mechanisms of strategic decision-making under pressure.

  •         Measurement and field and educational application: integrating thinking skills into educational environments and scientific research, and applying standardized critical and creative thinking scales and tests.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:

  •         Duration and schedule: 3 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 25 lectures / 50 direct interactive hours.

  •         Training language and delivery method: Arabic | interactive and applied remote training (Online).

  •         Distribution of credit hours (80 total hours):

·         50 hours: live lectures and interactive online applications.

·         20 hours: open readings and practical applications.

·         7 hours: chapter questions and self-assessment.

·         3 hours: final review and program completion examination.

  •          Assessment system and attendance requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of lectures, and continuous assessment through applications, problem-solving, and creative research.

  •         Certificate and graduation project: the trainee is awarded a Diploma in Creative and Critical Thinking Skills after implementing and evaluating the final graduation project: the field application system and the design and evaluation of creative projects.
