1. Program Overview:
An accredited professional and applied program extending over 3 months (80 hours of approved study load), aimed at preparing and qualifying psychological and family counselors, educators, and social workers to combine the latest contemporary psychological counseling theories and techniques with the authentic Islamic perspective of the self and family. The program covers the theoretical foundations of Islamic psychological counseling, interview and psychological diagnosis skills, the jurisprudence of family relationships and building marital compatibility, parental counseling methods and techniques for dealing with childhood and adolescent problems, counseling intervention strategies for common psychological disorders (anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder), management of family crises, disintegration and divorce, and the charter and ethics of counseling practice.
2. Key Objectives:
- Shariah and psychological grounding of counseling: understanding the Islamic foundations for understanding the human psyche (its components, motives, illnesses, and treatment) and integrating them with modern counseling models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Mastering counseling interview and diagnostic skills: mastering techniques for building the counseling relationship, active-listening skills, applying assessment scales, and accurately identifying psychological and family needs.
- Managing family conflicts and building compatibility: acquiring intervention strategies for resolving marital disputes, dialogue and negotiation techniques within the family, and the jurisprudence of mutual rights and duties.
- Activating parental and educational counseling: equipping counselors with tools to guide parents in dealing effectively with the behavioral and psychological challenges of children during childhood and adolescence and with identity challenges.
- Managing crises and common psychological disorders: applying therapeutic and counseling plans to help individuals deal with stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and crises of loss and divorce.
- Commitment to the ethics of counseling practice: applying standards of professional confidentiality, ethical boundaries between counselor and counselee, and self-care programs to prevent psychological burnout.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:
- Duration and sessions: 3 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 48 interactive training hours.
- Language of study and delivery method: Arabic | fully remote interactive training (Online).
- Distribution of approved hours (80 hours):
· 48 hours: direct interactive lectures (live training and discussion sessions).
· 14 hours: required readings and principal references in psychological and family counseling from an Islamic perspective.
· 6 hours: enrichment readings, case-study models, and diagnostic scales.
· 6 hours: assignments, practical applications, and analysis of counseling situations.
· 6 hours: self-assessment questions, final review, and final completion examination.
- Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of the direct interactive lectures, and submission of assignments and reports on time.
- Certificate and graduation project: the graduate is awarded a Professional Diploma in Psychological and Family Counseling from an Islamic Perspective after passing the electronic examination (25 questions + 5 questions on practical applied cases) and preparing an optional file (an integrated counseling case study / designing a therapeutic plan for a real psychological or family case).
