1. Program Overview:

An advanced professional and educational program extending over 12 months (264 hours of approved study load), aimed at preparing and qualifying professional teachers and educational supervisors in the field of teaching English to children and young learners. The program covers the psychology of second-language acquisition, classroom management methods, interactive lesson design, the use of games, stories, and songs, integration of artificial intelligence, technology, and real objects (Realia), Content and Language Integrated Learning methodology (CLIL), and dealing with individual differences and learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

2. Key Objectives:

  •         Understanding children’s developmental and linguistic stages: comprehending theories of second-language acquisition and the characteristics of linguistic and cognitive development among young learners.

  •         Mastering active and interactive teaching strategies: designing lessons and developing productive and receptive skills using games, stories, songs, and teaching phonemes (Phonemes) and correct pronunciation.

  •         Employing technology and modern teaching methodologies: integrating artificial intelligence tools, visual aids and real objects (Realia), and applying cross-curricular integration methodology (CLIL).

  •         Classroom management and comprehensive assessment: acquiring classroom-management skills, correcting errors flexibly, assessing learning through portfolios (Portfolios), involving parents, and dealing with learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

3. Target Audience:

  •         Male and female English-language teachers in kindergarten and primary education.

  •         Recent graduates of Faculties of Education, Arts (English Language Department), Languages, and Translation who wish to become professional teachers of children.

  •         Educational supervisors and designers of activities and curricula for early childhood education.

  •         Those wishing to obtain an accredited professional qualification for teaching English to young learners in international schools and specialized centers.

5. Organizational Data and Assessment:

  •         Duration and sessions: 12 months (evening period) | 96 interactive lectures, two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 192 direct training hours.

  •         Delivery method and language of study: fully remote (Online) | English language.

  •         Distribution of credit hours (264 total hours):

·         192 hours: live interactive online lectures.

·         40 hours: required readings and open resources.

·         16 hours: chapter questions and self-assessment.

·         6 hours: final review and completion examination.

·         10 hours: presentations and teaching portfolios.

  •          Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of live lectures, in addition to assignments and applied activities.

  •          Certificate and final project: Teaching English for Young Learners Diploma Certificate. The final assessment includes an electronic examination and a practical application of teaching plans and an integrated portfolio.
