1. Program Overview:

An accredited professional and applied program extending over 3 months (80 hours of approved study load), aimed at qualifying researchers, muftis, preachers, and content creators to employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI technologies in Shariah research, takhrij, usuli data processing, and specialized digital content creation. The program covers the technical concepts of artificial intelligence from a Shariah perspective, AI applications in serving heritage and manuscripts, controls governing digital fatwa and the risks of reliance on generative models, Islamic Prompt Engineering, building intelligent agents for fatwa institutions, producing modern da‘wah media, and ethical challenges and digital governance.

2. Key Objectives:

•         Shariah and epistemological grounding of modern technologies: understanding the technical structure of artificial-intelligence algorithms and identifying the jurisprudential and usuli dimensions of their use in religious and fatwa-related fields.

•         Automating and developing Shariah research and verification: employing AI tools in lexical research, Hadith takhrij, retrieval of jurisprudential texts, and verification of heritage works and manuscripts with high accuracy.

•         Regulating digital fatwa making: identifying the usuli controls for using artificial intelligence as a research assistant for the mufti, and avoiding the risks of software hallucination and jurisprudential plagiarism.

•         Mastering prompt engineering and building intelligent models: training in writing professional prompts (Prompt Engineering) and developing robots and intelligent agents (AI Agents) customized for Shariah institutions and universities.

•         Producing multimedia Shariah and da‘wah content: using automated generation technologies for texts, audio, and visual designs to produce contemporary and influential da‘wah discourse.

•         Establishing AI ethics and governance: addressing algorithmic biases, protecting intellectual property, and building digital-governance frameworks for Islamic platforms and institutions.

•         Muftis, researchers, and members of fatwa institutions and bodies and fiqh academies.

•         Academics and postgraduate students in Faculties of Shariah, Usul al-Din, and Information Technology.

•         Preachers, imams, digital content creators, and supervisors of Islamic platforms and websites.

•         Software developers and designers of technological solutions directed toward the religious and awqaf sector.

•         Managers of Islamic institutions and centers concerned with digital transformation and intelligent automation.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:

•         Duration and sessions: 3 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 48 interactive training hours.

•         Language of study and delivery method: Arabic with approved technical applications and software | fully remote interactive training (Online).

•         Distribution of approved hours (80 hours):

·         48 hours: interactive lectures and direct software applications.

·         14 hours: required readings and literature on technology, fatwa, and artificial intelligence.

·         6 hours: enrichment readings and standards on technology ethics and digital transformation.

·         6 hours: assignments and practical applications (building prompts, intelligent agents, and digital content).

·         6 hours: self-assessment questions, final review, and final completion examination.

•         Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of the lectures, and completion of software and analytical applications and assignments.

•          Certificate and graduation project: the graduate is awarded a Professional Diploma in Artificial Intelligence, Fatwa Making, and Islamic Content Creation after passing the electronic examination (25 questions + 5 questions on practical technical and jurisprudential cases) and optionally submitting an applied graduation project (developing an artificial-intelligence model / intelligent agent customized for a Shariah institution, or producing an integrated and properly grounded digital Shariah content campaign).
