1. Program Overview:
A specialized training and applied program extending over 3 months (64 hours of approved study load), aimed at preparing and qualifying psychological and educational specialists and care practitioners to employ arts and creative media as safe therapeutic and expressive tools. The program focuses on the psychological foundations of art therapy (symbolism, release, and emotional regulation), the meanings of form and color, free and guided drawing techniques, the use of Mandala and the emotion circle to manage anxiety and stress, dealing with trauma and loss, and employing multiple media (collage, clay, and fabrics), through to building and designing professional therapeutic sessions and programs in accordance with sound ethics of practice.
2. Key Objectives:
- Understanding the psychological foundations of art therapy: understanding the language of symbolism and artistic projections, mechanisms of emotional regulation, and providing a safe therapeutic space.
- Mastering creative-expression tools and techniques: distinguishing between free drawing and guided drawing, and using Mandala, collage, and clay techniques to explore identity and self-image.
- Applying interventions with different groups and disorders: employing the arts with children and adolescents, managing cases of anxiety and psychological stress, and supporting cases of loss and trauma within the limits of intervention and specialized referral.
- Building and managing therapeutic sessions: designing integrated professional session plans, mastering standards of confidentiality and professional ethics, and implementing mini art-intervention programs.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:
- Duration and sessions: 3 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 16 lectures / 32 direct training hours.
- Language of study and delivery method: Arabic | fully remote interactive training (Online).
- Distribution of credit hours (64 total hours):
· 32 hours: live and interactive online lectures.
· 10 hours: required and open readings.
· 12 hours: art applications with different groups and case studies.
· 10 hours: preparation and development of the final project.
- Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance at interactive sessions, submission of assignments and applied exercises, and case study.
- Certificate and final project: the trainee is awarded a Diploma in Art Therapy after passing the online examination (25 multiple-choice questions) and presenting and discussing the graduation project: designing a short program based on expression through the arts (4 sessions), with the presentation of a practical simulation session.
