1. Program Overview:

An advanced and comprehensive academic and professional program extending over 12 months (192 hours of approved study load), aimed at enabling academics, researchers, lecturers, and postgraduate students to master academic English and modern teaching and research skills. The program combines academic reading, writing, and scientific research strategies, cognitive psychology, teaching strategies and student assessment, the use of artificial intelligence in education and curriculum development, in addition to creative and dramatic writing and linguistic criticism.

2. Key Objectives:

  •         Mastering academic research and writing skills: reviewing previous studies, accurate reference documentation, paraphrasing and summarization strategies, adhering to scientific research ethics, and avoiding plagiarism.

  •         Mastering contemporary teaching and assessment methods: managing effective educational sessions, developing critical thinking, diagnosing students’ learning gaps, and using assessment and peer-review strategies.

  •         Integrating artificial intelligence into higher education: employing AI tools in curriculum design and using modern teaching strategies to prepare students for the digital future.

  •         Developing advanced communication and linguistic creativity skills: mastering academic debates and persuasive rhetoric, linguistic analysis of digital texts, and creative and dramatic writing in English.

5. Organizational Data and Assessment:

  •         Duration and sessions: 12 months (evening period) | 96 interactive lectures, two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 192 direct training hours.

  •         Delivery method and language of study: fully remote (Online) | English and Arabic.

  •         Distribution of credit hours (192 total hours):

·         120 hours: live interactive online lectures.

·         40 hours: required readings and open resources.

·         16 hours: chapter questions and self-assessment.

·         6 hours: final review and completion examination.

·         10 hours: oral presentations (Presentations).

  •         Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of live lectures, and completion of assignments and periodic tests.

  •         Certificate and final project: English for Higher Education Diploma Certificate. The final project includes an electronic examination, oral interviews, and an integrated practical application.
