1. Program Overview:
A comprehensive accredited professional and applied program extending over 12 full months (192 accredited hours), aimed at preparing and qualifying translators and interpreters according to international professional standards for the labor market. The program covers the foundations and theories of translation, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting and sight translation, note-taking techniques and voice and delivery training, terminology management and glossary building, dealing with Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools and machine translation, mastering grammar, sentence construction, and textual coherence through comparative and back translation, and translating media, academic, and terminological texts, culminating in the preparation of an integrated professional Portfolio.
2. Key Objectives:
- Understanding translation theories and techniques: gaining familiarity with the theoretical and methodological frameworks of translation and interpretation and applying semantic and contextual transfer strategies.
- Mastering oral and simultaneous interpreting skills: training in simultaneous, consecutive, and sight interpreting, and developing rapid note-taking skills and control of voice and articulation.
- Employing modern technologies and CAT Tools: managing glossaries and specialized terminology, using computer-assisted translation software, and post-editing machine-translation outputs.
- Developing linguistic and stylistic competence: strengthening reading, writing, grammatical structures (Syntax), collocations, and dealing with idiomatic expressions and formal and informal registers.
- Activating review and self-assessment tools: mastering back translation as a self-checking tool and improving textual cohesion, coherence, and punctuation.
- Building a professional Portfolio: enabling the trainee to compile specialized projects and translations to demonstrate readiness for the local and international labor market.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:
- Duration and sessions: 12 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 140 direct interactive training hours through 70 lectures.
- Language of study and delivery method: English | fully remote interactive training (Online).
- Distribution of accredited hours (192 hours):
· 140 hours: direct interactive online lectures and interpretation and translation workshops.
· 30 hours: required and free readings, specialized texts, and terminology glossaries.
· 10 hours: chapter questions and self-assessment activities.
· 8 hours: presentations and interpreting simulation sessions.
· 4 hours: final review and program completion examination.
- Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of the direct lectures, and submission of assignments and weekly practical translations.
- Certificate and final project: the graduate is awarded a Diploma in Translation and Interpretation after passing the electronic examination and submitting the integrated professional Final Portfolio.
