1. Program Overview:
An accredited professional and applied program extending over 6 months (96 accredited hours), aimed at preparing and qualifying English-language teachers and trainers to design and deliver specialized training programs that meet the needs of various professional and occupational sectors. The program covers the theoretical and applied foundations of teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP), methodologies for analyzing language needs and identifying learner profiles (Learner Profiling), designing and developing specialized curricula and teaching plans, strategies for teaching Business English, and English for medical and healthcare fields, engineering and technical fields, aviation and maritime navigation, tourism and hospitality, and information technology and software, in addition to building specialized vocabulary and terminology and employing technological tools and digital platforms in specialized education.
2. Key Objectives:
- Understanding the foundations and methodologies of ESP: understanding the fundamental differences between teaching General English and English for specific and professional purposes.
- Conducting Needs Analysis: acquiring skills in diagnosing learners’ occupational and communicative requirements and building accurate learner profiles.
- Designing and developing curricula and teaching materials: planning and designing training packages and specialized curricula suited to the requirements of each employment sector and market.
- Mastering sector-specific teaching strategies: applying modern teaching methodologies in diverse sectors including business, medicine, engineering, aviation, tourism, and information technology.
- Developing and building terminological competence: enabling learners to acquire specialized terminology (Specialized Vocabulary & Jargon) and functional vocabulary for each sector.
- Integrating technology and digital solutions: using digital applications, interactive software, and modern technological platforms to enhance the specialized learning environment.

- English-language teachers and trainers in universities, institutes, vocational training centers, and companies.

5. Organizational Structure and Assessment System:
- Duration and sessions: 6 months (evening period), at a rate of two lectures per week, two hours per lecture = 60 direct interactive training hours through 30 lectures.
- Language of study and delivery method: English | fully remote interactive training (Online).
- Distribution of accredited hours (96 hours):
· 60 hours: direct interactive online lectures and applied workshops.
· 20 hours: required and free readings and specialized sectoral references.
· 10 hours: chapter questions and self-assessment.
· 3 hours: presentations and design of simulation training plans.
· 3 hours: final review and program completion examination.
- Attendance and assessment requirements: attendance of no less than 75% of the direct lectures, completion of tasks, and design of the prescribed sector-specific curricula.
- Certificate and final project: the graduate is awarded a Diploma in Teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) after passing the comprehensive electronic examination and submitting a project to design a specialized course unit (Course Unit/Syllabus Design) for one of the approved professional sectors.
