Department of Psychology

1. Department Overview:

The Department of Psychology is a specialized specialized division within the Center for Vocational Training & Continuing Education. It aims to equip trainees, counselors, and practitioners in behavioral and social sciences with modern theoretical knowledge and practical applied skills in educational/psychological counseling, psychosocial support (PSS), and behavioral modification, fostering well-being and mental health for individuals and communities.

To be a premier regional and international center for applied professional training in psychology, psychological counseling, and psychosocial support, cultivating skilled counselors and professionals capable of delivering high-quality, ethical, and effective services to meet societal and institutional needs.

3. Mission:

To qualify and build the capacities of practitioners and specialists in psychology and psychosocial support through specialized diplomas and practical training programs. By bridging modern theoretical frameworks with hands-on practice, the department provides behavioral and psychological solutions that advance mental health, resilience, and community well-being.

4. Strategic Objectives:

• Advance Counseling & Educational Skills: Enable participants to master individual, family, and educational counseling techniques for addressing emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Strengthen Psychosocial Support (PSS) Programs: Train humanitarian and organizational workers to design and execute psychosocial intervention programs for crisis, trauma, and social adaptation.
• Master Organizational Psychology & Behavioral Development: Deliver applied insights into workplace psychology, stress management, behavioral modification, and organizational leadership.
• Train in Psychological Assessment Tools: Train trainees to administer, score, and interpret standardized psychological and behavioral tests and measurements
